Last night's The Big Bang Theory dominated the ratings to rank first in its time period and the night overall.
This week's episode, "The Focus Attenuation", had 15.32 million viewers, down from last week's 15.75 audience. The show held steady in the key adults 18-49 demographic delivering a 4.5/14 rating again this week. The Big Bang Theory was first in viewers and all key demos in its time period and for the night as a whole.
A special rerun of The Big Bang Theory at 8:30 also performed strongly in the ratings, finishing as the night's third highest-rated show in the 18-49 demo behind the new Big Bang and NBC's The Voice. The rerun ranked third place in viewers for its time period, behind The Voice and ABC's Dancing with the Stars.
Get ready to meet Howard's second cousin Jeanie October 13 2014
Howard's second cousin Jeanie, the girl with whom he lost his virginity, will be making an appearance in a November episode of The Big Bang Theory, according to a TVLine.com exclusive report. Tensions will rise further between Howard and Stuart, who is currently living with Howard's mother, when Stuart arrives at a party with the aforementioned Jeanie.
Kara Luiz, who has recently guest starred in Amazon Instant Video's Betas, will be playing the role of cousin Jeanie.
Howard accidentally admitted to losing his virginity to his second cousin in "The Adhesive Duck Deficiency" when Leonard, Raj and Howard camped out under the stars and ate cookies made by VW Microbus-driving teachers wearing tie-dyed Grateful Dead t-shirts. On his with date with his now-wife Bernadette in "The Creepy Candy Coating Corollary", Howard admitted to losing his virginity in a Toyota Corolla.

The eighth season of The Big Bang Theory will begin airing in the United Kingdom later this month. E4 will be airing new episodes starting Thursday, October 23 at 20:30.
In the eighth season premiere, "The Locomotion Interruption", Sheldon's cross-country train journey comes to an abrupt end in Arizona, where Leonard and Amy must go pick him up. Meanwhile, Bernadette helps Penny get a job interview with her pharma company, and Howard worries about how close Stuart and his mother now are.

In the key adults 18-49 demographic, the show had a 4.5/14 rating, down from the previous episode's 4.8/15. The Big Bang Theory was first in viewers and all key demos for its time period and the night overall.
A special rerun of The Big Bang Theory at 8:30 finished third in viewers and second in the 18-49 demographic.

CBS doubles up on The Big Bang Theory September 25 2014
CBS will double up on The Big Bang Theory during the show's limited run on Monday nights. Following original episodes at 8/7c, a rerun of a different The Big Bang Theory episode will be airing at 8:30/7:30c on September 29, October 6 and October 13. The show returns to its Thursday night home on October 30.
The change to the schedule means Mom, the Anna Faris and Allison Janney sitcom from Chuck Lorre, will now begin its second season on Thursday, October 30 at 8:30/7:30c, immediately following The Big Bang Theory. The show had been set to start its sophomore season next Monday. The Thursday night line-up when it returns on October 30 will also have Two and a Half Men at 9/8c and new sitcom The McCarthys (starring Laurie Metcalf) at 9:30/8:30c, with the drama Elementary at 10/9c.
The second season of The Millers will now be taking the Monday 8:30/7:30c slot from October 20. After The Big Bang Theory returns to Thursday nights, 2 Broke Girls will have the 8/7c slot starting October 27. In January, Mom returns to Mondays at 8:30/7:30c and The Millers heads back to Thursdays at 8:30/7:30c.
Eighth season premiere ratings September 23 2014
Last night's hour-long premiere of The Big Bang Theory dominated the ratings for its time slot and the night to rank as Monday's most-watched and highest-rated program. The Big Bang Theory had over five million more viewers than the closest competing program.
At 8:00, "The Locomotive Interruption" was watched by 18.03 million people and recorded a 5.4/17 rating in the key adults 18-49 demographic. The show's season premiere last year, which aired Thursday, September 26, had 18.99m viewers and a 5.5/17 rating in the demo.
At 8:30, "The Junior Professor Solution" had 18.23 million viewers and a 5.4/16 rating in the demo. The second episode of last year's hour-long premiere, "The Deception Verification", had 20.44m viewers and a 6.1/18 rating and remains the show's most-watched episode to date.
The Big Bang Theory finished first in viewers and all key demographics in both of its showings and the night overall.
