The relationship between Penny and Sheldon really came together during season two. The key episode was The Panty Pinata Polarization in which Sheldon accepts Penny as one of the gang and therefore treats her just as poorly as he does everyone else. Unlike the rest of the guys, however, Penny stands up to Sheldon, and a new kind of respect is born between them. In Financial Permeability, Sheldon lends Penny money, something friends do at their peril. Sheldon, however, isn't the least bit concerned about it, leaving Penny to feel weird about it all on her own. That's all well and good (and very funny). But the frosting on the cake is Leonard facing down Kurt on Penny's behalf ... and not telling her about it. A brilliantly written and acted episode. Ah, season two, how we miss thee ... First aired: February 2, 2009.

On Monday mornings, Sheldon eats oatmeal (0303).
On Monday nights, the guys have Thai food. Sheldon orders mee krob and chicken satay with extra peanut sauce from Siam Palace (0206, 0308). However, this does not seem to be set in stone; Leonard frequently gets Sheldon Cashew Chicken from Szechuan Palace on Monday nights (0216),. (See Schedule).
Sheldon's Monday (night) pyjamas are a green/grey/blue checked model (0203).
