Summary

When their apartment is robbed, Leonard and Sheldon turn to their friends to create a state-of-the-art security system.

Episode Outline

I. Szechuan Palace

• The guys are on a "boys-night-out" when Sheldon discovers that the menu got changed.
• After a heated discussion about "mobster sauce", they decide to go to Corleone's to have pizza instead.

II. Stairway

• Coming back from the restaurant, Sheldon still ponders about the "mobster sauce".

III. Hallway in front of apartments

• Leonard notices that the apartment door is broken open.

IV. Living room

• Leonard and Sheldon notice that their TV and Laptops got stolen.
• Leonard grabs the phone, while Sheldon runs to his bedroom.
• Sheldon returns rather relieved, announcing that his comic books weren't stolen.

V. Living room

• Sheldon lists to Officer Hackett, which video game consoles and video games got stolen.
• After giving the officer some "forensic evidence", Sheldon points out that he couldn't rule Leonard out as a potential suspect.

VI. Sheldon's bedroom

• Sheldon is afraid that the robbers could return and can't sleep.

VII. Penny's apartment

• Penny and Leonard discuss the robbery, when Sheldon knocks.
• Sheldon explains that it was scary to be in the apartment on his own.

VIII. Living room, around 3.15 am

• Sheldon and Penny play pictionary, with Penny failing to decipher Sheldon's depiction of Higg's Boson Particle.
• After Leonard and Penny go to bed, leaving Sheldon alone. He tries to watch TV on his cell phone.
• After watching a murder scene, Sheldon runs to Leonard's bedroom.

IX. hallway in front of apartments, the next day

• Howard and Raj have installed a state-of-the-art security system.

X. Living room

• Penny walks into the apartment and gets caught by the security system.

XI. Sheldon's bedroom, the evening

• Sheldon notes in his journal that he still can't sleep, when he hears a noise.

XII. outside the window of Sheldon's apartment

• Sheldon crawls over to the window of Leonard's bedroom fighting his fear of heights.

XIII. Leonard's bedroom

• Leonard and Penny are kissing, when Sheldon knocks at the window.
• Leonard explains that the noise originated from a lamp that he and Penny knocked over.
• Sheldon leaves the bedroom to get a glass of milk.
• Leonard and Penny hear the security system being activated and Sheldon scream.

XIV. Living room

• Sheldon got caught by an electrified net of Howard's security system.

XV. Living room, (one of) the next day(s)

• Sheldon looks for a new, safer place to live.

XVI. Sheldon's bedroom

• Sheldon packed a bag and a suitcase and tells Leonard to move his mail to Bozeman, Montana.

XV. Living room

• Howard and Penny try to convince Sheldon to stay, but he refuses.
• The guys and Penny watch a video that Sheldon prepared to say good-bye.
• Sheldon tells the guys to lock the door behind him.

XVI. Bus station in Bozeman, Montana

• Sheldon arrived and immediately has his luggage stolen by a Young Man who offered help.
• Sheldon buys a ticket back to Pasadena.

XVII. Living room,

• Raj, Howard and Leonard are having dinner, when Sheldon arrives back at the apartment.

Notes and Trivia

The selection of Bozeman, Montana as the location for Sheldon's refuge is likely to be a nod to the appearance of the same town in the Star Trek canon, specifically as the place of First Contact between Humans and Vulcans.
