Events of the year 2003

• Sheldon started working at Caltech. His first room mate leaves and Leonard moves in (0322).

• The elevator is destroyed when a canister of top secret rocket fuel accidentally ignites and Sheldon places it in the elevator and presses the down button, thereby saving Leonard's life (0322).

NOTE: In October 2007, Sheldon states that he's spent the "last three and a half years staring at grease boards covered with equations" (0104), which would mean that he started working at the university in the spring of 2003.
