Summary

Sheldon's answers during an FBI interview put Wolowitz's security clearance in jeopardy. After accidentally revealing too much to an F.B.I. agent, Sheldon is stymied when Howard refuses to accept his apology.

Episode Outline

I. Cafeteria

• Leonard tells Sheldon and Raj how he is trying to be more confident around women.
• Sheldon continuously tries to change the subject. He wants to talk about a giant rodent.
• Howard comes in and reveals that they may be getting a visit from the FBI so he can get a top security clearance.
• Raj freaks out because he is afraid they may get suspicious, even though he is in America legally.
• Sheldon leaves mad because he couldn't talk about his giant rodent.

Opening themes and credits

II. Raj's apartment

• We find Raj reading New Moon from the Twilight series.
• The FBI agent knocks on Raj's door. When he realizes it is a woman, he goes mute.
• Raj goes and gets a rum cake from the fridge, so he can talk. He offers some to the agent, but she turns him down.
• The FBI agent interrogates Raj.

III. Leonard's lab

• Leonard gets interrogated by the FBI agent, but not before he hits on her. She reveals to him that she is married.

IV. Leonard and Sheldon's apartment

• Leonard asks Sheldon to get the door.
• Sheldon puts up a fight until Leonard asks the question the way Sheldon wants him to.
• When Leonard realizes that the FBI agent is at the door, he runs to his bedroom and hides.
• The FBI agent interrogates Sheldon. He reveals that one time Howard got the Mars rover stuck in a ditch while trying to woo a woman.

V. Cafeteria

• Howard comes in mad and says he didn't get his security clearance. He asks them if any of them knows anything about what may be the cause of him not getting it.
• Raj reveals that he got a little tipsy when talking to the agent.
• Leonard reveals that he hit on the agent.
• Sheldon stays mute.
• Howard storms out mad and says sarcastically that he can always count on them.
• Leonard notes that if anyone could have screwed it up it would have been Sheldon. Sheldon still stays mute about what actually told the agent.

VI. Leonard and Sheldon's apartment

• Sheldon walks out of his room in the middle of the night. Leonard asks why he is up at the hour he is up.
• Sheldon reveals that he can't sleep.
• Sheldon reveals to Leonard that he costed Howard the security clearance. He notes it is probably why he is awake.
• Leonard reveals to Sheldon that he is dreaming.

VII. Sheldon's bedroom

• Sheldon saying, "No gorn, no! That's where I sit!" Which reveals to us that it really is a dream.

VIII. FBI agent's office

• Sheldon thanks her for seeing him. He tries to fix the problem he started, but he has no success.

IX. Hallway

• Sheldon walks up on Raj talking to Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson.
• Sheldon asks Raj if he's seen Howard.
• Raj introduces Dr. Tyson to Sheldon.
• Sheldon tells Dr. Tyson off about demoting Pluto from planetary status.

X. Cafeteria

• Sheldon tries to apologize to Howard.
• Howard does not accept it.
• Dr. Tyson comes in and tries to apologize to Sheldon for demoting Pluto.
• Sheldon says, "Oh shut up!", and walks out.

XI. Cheesecake Factory bar

• Penny turns around and is shocked to see Sheldon sitting at the bar.
• Sheldon asks Penny to give him some alcohol. She places a shot of whiskey in front of him.
• Sheldon toasts to the Metric system and then drinks it. He immediately spits it back out into the shot glass.
• Sheldon tells Penny that he wronged Howard.
• Penny tells Sheldon that Leonard told her about that.
• Sheldon asks Penny how she copes with failure on a daily basis and she says she drinks.
• Sheldon lifts up the shot glass in front of him and drinks it, but only after he says, "To drinking!" He spits it back into the shot glass again.
• They have a conversation about Captain Kirk cheating on his Star Fleet Academy test. They are both shocked they were even having the conversation.
• Sheldon tells Penny that he is going to try to reprogram Howard.
• Sheldon shouts, "To James Tiberius Kirk!" and takes drinks from the shot glass in front of him. He spits it back into the glass again.

XII. Cafeteria

• Sheldon enters and gives Howard his spot on the couch and tries to apologize again.
• Howard forgives Sheldon and they high five.

XIII. Leonard and Sheldon's apartment

• We see all five main characters sitting around the coffee table in the living room. Howard is in Sheldon's spot.
• Sheldon takes back his spot.
• Penny asks Leonard how long it took Sheldon to take it back and he says, "94 seconds."
• Leonard gives Penny money because they had bet Sheldon would take it back.
