Batman

Fictional comic-book superhero. One of his arch-enemies is The Joker.

• Both, Howard and Sheldon collect Batman comic books, with Howard collecting Batman centered comic books, while Sheldon has a "Robin collection" (0220).

• Sheldon once proposes that "with startup capital and adequate research facilities" he could be Batman. He can imitate Batman's voice quite well (0201).

• When he gets kicked off the Physics Bowl team, Leonard gives him a Batman cookie jar to ease the rejection (0113).

• In the beginning of 2010, Leonard has the laughter of The Joker as the ring tone on his cell phone. When he answers the phone in the middle of the night and learns that he has to pick up Sheldon from a local children's play-place, he makes a reference to The Joker by telling Penny that "Sheldon has escaped and is terrorising the village" (0314).

• Sheldon includes the Batmobile on his list of cool modes of transportation (0319).
