Flash, The

A superhero in comic books from DC of which the boys are fans. The Flash is able to move at "super-speed" and has super-fast reflexes. He is known as "the fastest man alive" (e.g. 0216).

Sheldon wears a Flash t-shirt (0101) and Flash socks (0206).

Each of the boys owns a Flash costume and all turned up wearing it for Penny's Halloween party in 2007 (0106). Sheldon wears his when he's hyped up on coffee (0218).

Sheldon buys the latest issue of The Flash comic in episode 0216. The issue he comes home with is #247, which went on sale 24 December 2008, and this was the most recent issue when the episode was first aired on 2 March 2009.

During a visit to the comic book store in May 2009, Sheldon tells Stuart that the latest issue of The Flash comic books will "knock your socks off". He's holding up "The Flash: Rebirth #1: Lightning Strikes Twice", which has a cover date of June 2009 (0222).
