The great bowling showdown between Sheldon and Wil Wheaton, as well as the site of Leonard and Penny's breakup, was the Pasadena Fun Time Bowling Center (0319).
About the set:

- When the actors threw the balls, a net caught them. Later, in post production, shots of balls hitting pins were inserted.
