Parties in the show

• Penny threw a Halloween party which took place on a Saturday near Halloween (probably 27 October 2007). The party spilled out into the hallway and even up the stairs. Leonard hoped that the party would give him an opportunity to meet some of Penny's friends in a social situation, but ended for him on a sour note after Kurt showed up (0106).

• The Physics Department threw a party to welcome Dr. Gablehauser as the new head of the Department (0104), and another one to welcome Dennis Kim, a 14-year-old "wunderkind" (0112).

• Penny organises a "kick-ass surprise party" for Leonard's birthday with the help of Raj, a very keen Howard and a rather reluctant Sheldon . Unfortunately, Leonard misses the party (0116).

• Sheldon overhears Howard and Raj talking about him after they return from the Arctic and assumes that they're planning a party for him to celebrate his supposed scientific breakthrough. He reminds them that if there's going to be a theme, he doesn't like 'luau', 'toga', or 'under the sea' (0301).
