Notes and Trivia
The title "The Plimpton Stimulation" appeared for the first time in a photo posted by Bill Prady on his Twitter account. The script shown was the table draft, dated March 17, 2010.
Timeline
Sheldon informs Leonard 24 hours prior to Dr. Plimpton's visit. The day following her first night with the guys is Halo Night, suggesting it's a Wednesday (see Schedule). This means, we can assume this episode starts on a Monday (nicely timed again with the airing of the episode) and ends on a Wednesday night.
Title
The title refers to the "stimulating" impact that Dr. Plimpton's visit has on the guys' lives.
