Astrophysicist who won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2006 for his work about the big bang theory.
He is a huge fan of the show and appeared as himself in The "Terminator Decoupling" when the guys to a conference in San Francisco. Sheldon talks to him and suggests a collaboration, to which he replies:
George Smoot: With all due respect, are you on crack?
