Talk:Electric Can Opener Fluctuation
What does the fact that Battlestar Galactica started with cast members saying, "last time on..." have to do with anything? LOTS of shows employ this device, especially when it's been months since viewers have had a new episode to watch.
Hey Romeyn, thanks for joining us :)!
Kaley says "previously on TBBT" and in Battlestar they started every episode with "previously on Battlestar Galactica". I have to admit that I haven't watched other shows lately. So do they really all say "previously at" or do they use other words (like your "last time on")? I thought it was a reference to one of the guy's favourite shows, but of course that was just a guess, it doesn't have to be.

...and Jack Bauer starts off "24" with "Previously on 24..." and someone starts off "Lost" with "Previously on Lost..." :-) It's not at all uncommon when the show in question has a serial component. It might seem odd on a show consisting largely of "stand-alone" episodes (the kind you can almost fully enjoy without knowing any sort of back-story), but is a courtesy to non-fanatical viewers who might be lost without the few historical tidbits provided by the "Previously on...". Ultimately, I guess my point is that it doesn't deserve any kind of mention here (or anywhere else). (IMHO, of course!!) Romeyn
Hehe, thanks! Based on these examples, I agree. I just knew Battlestar starts like this, while on Voyager they say "last time" Should watch more TV ;) Antonia
