Christy, Penny's friend from back home in Nebraska, was called this because she sleeps around. Raj didn't understand the reference, since it comes from the Christian tradition and he is Hindu.
The reference comes from the "whore of Babylon", an allegorical figure of evil in the book of Revelations in the Bible.
