When Raj finds out that Wil Wheaton will take part in a Mystic Warlords of Ka'a tournament, organised by Stuart in the Comic book store, Sheldon reveals that he idolised the character Wesley Crusher when he was a child. In 1995 he traveled ten hours by bus to the Dixie Trek SciFi Convention in Jackson, Mississippi to get his Wesley Crusher action figure signed by Wil Wheaton. When the actor failed to show up, Sheldon placed him on his personal all-time enemy list. In the tournament, Sheldon almost beats Wil Wheaton in the final round. He confronts him about his failure to show up at the convention and Wil uses a lie about the apparent death of his grandmother as an excuse. Sheldon believes him and concedes the game by playing the Enchanted Bunny (0305).

Wheaton returns as a member of Stuart's bowling team and once again beats Sheldon by distracting him and emotionally disturbing Penny, who's a rather good bowler, to make her leave the game (0319).
